For my birthday, my family chipped in together and bought Adobe CS for me... so now I have photoshop... no more gimp brushes from me... sorry.

Yay! My first gimp brush set EVER is up!
And I already had a favorite added. Kewl.
I've noticed that there is a lack of a wide variety of brushes for the gimp. I hope I can help remedy that in the future. When you can't find what you want, make it.
EDIT:: YEAH! My second set up as well! And in ONE DAY no less! Rock on!

I am working on my very first set of brushes for GIMP (created using gimp 2.0) right now. They will be swirlies from the Curlz font on my computer. I never use the font, but figured I would use the curlz from it if they were brushes. This also happens to be one of my favorite shapes to doodle.
Look for them to appear sometime within the week.

You're right, brushes like yours were needed, all other brushes seem to be overrealistic or textured and don't suit well for decorative purposes. I'll try to make nice things with them.

I have used photo shop brushes in gimp.. yours wont load? want to know my trick? Im so bad at learning how to do things I just go along on my own.. send me a note if you want to try my way! thank you for sharing!!
